Rusetti – Disabled Women’s National Association: Report on the Realization of Equality in the Decision Making of Disabled People’s Organizations

There is almost no research information available regarding the participation of disabled women in decision making. As their equality act during the year of 2017, the Disabled Women’s National Association Rusetti ry examined the realization of gender equality in the decision making bodies of disabled people’s organizations, councils, and boards during 2007-2017. For this purpose, Rusetti challenged the organizations belonging to the network of women members of disability organizations to conduct a study in their own organizations. Based on the findings, women were overall well-represented in the boards of disabled people’s organizations. 35 different organizations were examined.
